The Shallow River Meeting Place occupies the upper floor of a 100-year-old refurbished movie and stage theater in the heart of downtown Plattsmouth, Nebraska. This spacious conference room for twelve has all the modern amenities to conduct a business meeting, give an in-person or virtual presentation, hold a small gathering, or host a special event. Adjacent to the meeting room is a beautifully appointed, full-sized Suite with restroom facilities and a modern kitchen that serves as the perfect place to prepare and serve a business lunch, small reception, or dinner. We are conveniently located in the Historic Main Street District near several restaurants, shops and coffeehouse and are only minutes from downtown Omaha, Offutt Airforce Base, and Council Bluffs, IA.

Plattsmouth’s Main Street Historic District includes 45 late 19th and early 20th century buildings. Here you will find a treasure trove of boutiques, antiques, shopping, dining, and recreation.

Enjoy an evening stroll along Main Street with lots of great restaurant choices. From steaks at the Fork and Hammer to more casual homestyle dining at Mom’s Café. Try the River House Soda Fountain and Café for lunch.

Two of our favorite spots are Stans Bakery (literally right next store) serving coffee and pastries every morning except Sunday. Herban Coffee Lab, an eclectic bakery and bistro on Historic Main Street serves fresh roasted coffee and fine teas along with soup, sandwiches, and tasty treats.
